Quote for the Day

"Faithfulness to Jesus means that I must step out even when and where I can't see anything...faithfulness to my own ideas means that I first clear the way mentally. Faith, however, is not intellectual understanding; faith is a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when I can't see the way ahead."

Oswald Chambers MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST 3/28 (italics mine)

It's that when and where that always get me! How about you?

For me it's knowing whether or not He's calling me to step. But, I guess if Wendy never walked off the plank, Peter Pan couldn't have silently swooped in and saved her from the pirates. Perhaps we are always called to keep walking-- to maintain the pilgrimmage-- and *anticipate* God's hand on our backs, guiding our direction. "When and where" become obsolete when the *journey*, rather than the destination, becomes the focus...each "when and where" become momentary awarenesses, the *how* (but by the grace of God) then reveals/motivates our ultimate destination. So take heart, Lauren-- only after you walk the plank will you realize, in the hands of your Hero, that you're flying!
