It's been months since I've written, I know...but who was reading anyways?!
But after my time at the Proverbs 31 She Speaks Conference, I am raring to go again- and this includes blogging and reading other blogs. This includes speaking out, speaking up, and speaking light! His light.

I went through a dark season of broken down health, broken down cars, strained relationships...seemed like waves of bad news kept coming. I felt more comforted reading Job than I did the book of Philippians, I'll be honest. If I could say, like Job, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him" I knew I'd be okay. And I knew it wasn't God slaying me, but He was letting my flesh get beat up. That's okay, as long as my soul can drink in His air and breathe.

I love your honesty in this post. The book of Job is included in the Bible for good reason - sometimes we just need the perspective it provides! So glad the She Speaks conference helped you get your "spunk" back.

Blessings!

Hi Lauren

I am so happy to hear that the She Speaks Conference was so what you needed. I couldn't agree more on how this weekend served as a reminder of the sweet calling that we all share. We are a highly privileged group of women. Our Father has bestowed on us a marvelous responsibility accompanied by heavenly blessings. We are surely good to go. Remember to always put on your big girl panties and just get over anything anyone might do to distract you from the goal. We were made from HIM and it is for his pleasure that we exist. Keep up the good fight of faith. love, gabie
